Best Blender For Milkshakes

The Ultimate Guide

If you love creamy milkshakes then investing in a good quality blender that can whip them up to perfection might be just what you need. There are so many types of blenders out there, so you might be thinking, which one is the best blender for milkshakes? There are a few factors you will want to consider when buying a blender for milkshakes, such as, how many people you’ll be blending for, how often do you have milkshakes and whether you will be using your blending for other things too.

We have tried and tested so many different types of blenders and these are some of the best ones we find work well with milkshakes! We have reviewed many different types of blenders from cheap to expensive and portable to countertop! Take a look!

Ninja Blender

This Ninja blender is a high powered tool with an astonishing 1100 watt motor which can blend even the toughest of ingredients. It features 3 speeds, a pulse function and single service functions.

With a large 72 oz pitcher, you can make enough milkshakes to feed all the boys in the yard! You also get individual 16 oz Nutri Ninja cups so you can blend your own smoothie or milkshake and take it on the go!

This is a blender that has immense power and the 6 blades can pulverize ice to snow in just seconds for creamier smoothies, milkshakes and frozen margaritas… ‘cause why not, right?

With great power, sharp blades and large capacity, the Ninja blender isn’t just for making milkshakes. This is a multi-functional blender that can be a very useful tool in your kitchen.

Blending tip: Because this is a very powerful blender, its power can make the liquid dribble out the side.

blentec 575 blender

Blendtec is a trusted brand and a customer favourite in the blender world. The 575 model boasts a powerful 1575 watt motor and a unique stainless steel blade that is strong enough to pulverise ice and frozen fruit.

There are 4 pre-programmed cycles available, including a smooth programme which is perfect for milkshakes. There is a 60 second button which is used for raw food and a 90 second cycle which is for hot soups. And the great thing with this blender is that you don’t need to chop or slice before blending. With your Blendtec blender you have full control over the texture and consistency of your milkshake as there is a stop button and a pulse button.

Unlike many blenders out there, you don’t have to keep hold of the button while it blends. This appliance is designed to be hands free and the preset cycles and countdown timer means you can let it do its thing.

Blending tip: You don’t even need to spend time cleaning it as this Blendtec blender can clean itself!

vitamix 5200 blender

Vitamix is the Rolls Royce of blenders! This bad boy can blend literally everything, from smoothies, to ice, to hot soups and of course, creamy milkshakes. Vitamix is super easy to use and the speeds are easily adjustable with a dial that can be rotated even while your Vitamix is blending.

The self cleaning 64oz container is large enough to make milkshakes for the whole family and the stainless steel blades are strong enough to grind even the toughest of nuts into the creamiest, nutty butter. Delicious!

Vitamix offers 3 different colours, red, black and white, so you are bound to find one that looks good in your kitchen. You can also upgrade and get the Vitamix blender with individual cups. Ideal for when you are in a hurry and want to take your milkshake on the go.

The only drawback with the Vitamix is the price. It is pretty expensive and you definitely need to save some pennies to get it. Any Vitamix model can cost anywhere between $300-$500, but if you are looking to invest in an appliance that will not need to be replaced any time soon then it might be worth the splurge.

Blending tip: Vitamix does have a tendency of heating up your ingredients due to it being so powerful. This is great if you are blending to make soup, but no one wants a warm milkshake, am I right? Just have some ice ready to crush in with your milkshake just in case.

magicbullet blender

The Magic Bullet blender is great if you are an on the go type of person. It might look like a small blender, but this little fella can chop, mix, blend, grind and whip up the creamiest milkshakes ever!

There are no on buttons or speed settings, all you need to do is fill your ingredients in the cup, twist it on the blade and place it on the power base. Easy as that! The magic bullet includes blender cups, blades and even a recipe book! And if you find yourself to be in a rush but still want that delicious milkshake, use the cup with the handle and the flip top lid. No time wasted!

What’s great about the magic bullet blender is that it’s small enough to not look clumpy in your kitchen. It can easily be stored without taking up too much space and if you are going on holiday but still want your milkshake fix, it’s super easy to take with you.

Blending tip: At only 250 watts, the motor isn’t strong enough to blend tougher ingredients, like ice.

nutribullet blender

This is one of the most popular blenders on the market. It’s like the magic bullet but stronger, at 1700 watts. It includes two 30oz cups, one for making cold drinks, like smoothies and milkshakes, and one that is more suited for blending tougher ingredients, like nuts. There is also a 1 litre pitcher that is ideal for blending soups as it is built to withstand hotter temperatures.

Just like the magic bullet, there are no on buttons or speed dials. All you do is twist the cup into place and it’ll start doing its thing. There is also a hands-free which makes it that much easier to make your creamy milkshakes.

Your nutribullet is dishwasher-safe but only on the top rack. It is also very easy to clean by hand and there is also a brush to help you clean around blades.

The NutriBullet is an excellent choice if you are looking for an appliance that is affordable(ish) enough and powerful enough to break through even the toughest of ingredients.

Blending tip: Can start to wear the longer you use it.

Verdict

So, there you have it! But which one is the best blender for milkshakes? Well, that comes down to you really. We absolutely love the Vitamix 5200 ‘cause it blends our milkshakes so well and they come out incredibly creamy.
